Celebrating

Stewart James William Ramsay

Stewart was a loving and much loved son, brother, partner and daddy, and loved by everyone who knew him, especially his “old dears” who knew him from the local butchers shop where he worked.

The story of Stewart James William Ramsay

Stewart was 4 years old when we moved here to Bedrule, he attended Denholm Primary School, then Jedburgh Grammar School.

All through his primary school days he played mini rugby at Jed-Forest RFC, then high school rugby, then aged 16 for Jed Thistle.

He went to college and did an agricultural course, as farming was in his blood. He used to love going to the farm and in the tractor with his dad. He then got an apprenticeship in the butchers in Jedburgh.

His relationship with Steph started in 2013, then daughter Grace came along in 2017. Stewart then got a job at Denholm butchers, so they moved to Denholm and in 2020 daughter Ava arrived. They were a loving family, enjoying special days out and holidays abroad (even though Stewart wasn’t keen on flying!).

Stewart always loved his motorbikes, and over the years had several. He was also a big Celtic FC fan, and loved all sports. His rugby days continued when he started playing for Earlston RFC, and was there for many years.

Stewart was a kind, loving and much loved person, who was tragically taken from us in a car accident on 4th February 2022. He has left a huge hole in all our hearts, but has left us the legacy of his two wonderful daughters, Grace and Ava.
